We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the SoloBid service
• Process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe
• Send transactional notifications (quote sent, invoice paid, etc.)
• Communicate with you about your account or the service
• Improve the platform based on how users interact with it

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

4. Third-Party Services

We share certain information with third-party services that help us operate the platform:

• Stripe — Processes payments and manages subscriptions. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. We share your email and payment details with Stripe to process transactions.
• Supabase — Provides database hosting and authentication services. Your account and business data is stored in Supabase.
• Resend — Handles email delivery for notifications, quote delivery, and invoice delivery. We share recipient email addresses with Resend.
• Twilio — Handles SMS delivery for quote and invoice notifications. We share recipient phone numbers with Twilio.
• Vercel — Hosts the SoloBid web application. Vercel may process request metadata such as IP addresses and browser information.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We only share the minimum information necessary for each service to function.

5. Customer Data

As a contractor using SoloBid, you may store information about your own customers (names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses). This data is stored to provide the service and is accessible only to you. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from your customers before storing their information in SoloBid. We process this data on your behalf and do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your personal data and business data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

SoloBid uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies are necessary for the service to function and keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

SoloBid is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SoloBid after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
